My regional manager came to me and said the same thing. DO NOT PUT A FLASHED IPHONE ON CRICKET. Yes, you will lose your license. I've been around this since 06 and have followed Amoamare's posts all over the flashing community. Believe me, if there was a way around it, he would have said so. If he is taking no for an answer I would say we should too. I remember the days when people were saying the Blackberry would never be on Cricket... Well ask Amoamare how that theory went. lol. Or the LG Rumor/scoop/260 would never be branded to Cricket... Ask him how that went too. I actually bought that from him. lol.

What I am saying is, he is a veteran member of the flashing community. If he says something, count on it.

This still leaves a lot in the air if it were true. Do Cricket reps have a database of known iPhone MEIDs? When you call in are they going to check or does Cricket's system try to verify it? So if someone walks into a store and says, I don't have the phone with me, but I'd like to put this phone on my account, the dealer can get in trouble? Is there a policy to have the phone present when making a change?

Also if you're putting down the 100 bucks for flashing the iPhone, I'm pretty sure CDMA Tool can change the MEID. I definitely am never in favor of this, but it's obviously going to be done by a few if this becomes an issue.

    Just a couple of thoughts.

Yes it is correct that Cricket has been told by Apple not to flash their phones over...... it is part of the contract they signed with Apple. I am sure their will be a few rebels that continue to do so but they are doing it at their own risk and are endangering the company they work for. I just found this out today because I have an iphone 4s with Sprint and I called Cricket and asked them if the iphone 5 came out somewhere between now and October would Cricket sell it at the same time as the other carriers being that the iphone 4 and 4s is being sold at Cricket so close to the launch of the new iphone. She said she wasnt sure but that they would probably delay the sell of the new iphone so as to not hurt sells of the iphone 4 and 4s when they are release June 22nd. So then I asked her if I could just flash my current Sprint iphone 4s over to Cricket until the new iphone 5 was ready to be sold and that was when I was told the bad news that they cant flash the iphone anymore because of the contract signed with Apple =( Also I believe I read somewhere that the Cricket iphone bid was like 900 million over 3 years that they have to fork over to Apple for this deal hence another reason for them wanting to sell their iphones not flash used ones from other carriers.

I wanted to flash my Verizon iPhone to Cricket but when I found out about the 100 dollar credit stuff I decided against it. Thing is I already installed amoamares Cricket Bundle and the Commcenter patch. I removed both of them and it says it's supposed to restore it to it's original state but the Verizon Carrier logo doesn't show as it did before. Also in settings, general, about, Network it says Unavailable. But Under Carrier it does say Verizon 12.0. Is this something I should be worried about or is it nothing?

I just off the line with customer service trying to get the iPhone all in an they kept giving me crap saying I need to purchase the cricket iPhone. Some of you may know of me from other sites an stay pretty quiet an have posted a few full flash tutorials . Since I've had cricket I've never purchased a phone from cricket. This apple situations has irritated me to the extreme. So therefore I am spending my free time developing a means to a full free flash that openly will work. I just am in a stick it to the man mood. So anyone willing to join in pm me for details( only experienced veterans to the flash game or people with in store access to a iPhone 4 for info purposes) I'm going to get a free solution going ASAP it will be a jailbreak only thing unless ifunbox will comply. An if anyone has already started an needs assistance I will join in. I just would like to donate a free solution to the cause because paying for a flash is wrong in our case. In a customers case different situation.

    - Do Cricket reps have a database of known iPhone MEIDs? - Chris they do not have database with iphone`s MEIDs and also cricket system not checking uploaded MEID. System works as before. Select random original cricket model and activate new iphone. It still works.

Great tutorial. Sorry for you guys in the cricket only market. For me it's all good. I'm in a metropcs market and i frequent here fot more tips on flashing since the process is almost identical except for a few data parameters. I now have talk, text, 3g and mms on metropcs. Thanks to all you guys for the knowledge. KUDOS......
