Yes the HTC Evo Design 4G, originally on Sprint, can be flashed to Cricket Wireless. Our member "rockon0921" has done it and posted a tutorial on the forum.

The HTC Evo Design 4G has an understated black-on-black design, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and two cameras, and is a world phone. It comes with 8GB of memory preinstalled.

This is my first tut, so be Gentle. I don't take any credit for this just putting the steps i took from hours of googling.Also alot of credit to chrisngrod cuz most of this is copied(with chrisngrod permission from evo tutorial)

This is from my experience with a HTC Evo Design(ph44100). This will get full Flash (Talk,Text,Internet and Web).It is very similiar to evo flash, only difference being getting the msl.I'll take alot of info from Chrisngrod Evo tutorial.

Yup works great couldn't get qpst to work used DFS and workshop, and as far as mms i didnt try your method.....Thanks

I havent done it yet, but I was saying thank you for providing this information so that other people can have a chance to do it as well....I just bought the phone on Ebay, I will be doing it soon

Did somebody try this:
Go to: Messages(stock app) - settings - Multimedia messages (MMS) -Maximum message size - 500K( you can try with 1M), then Connection settings (MMSC: http://mms.mycricket.com; MMS Proxy:"blank";MMS Port:"blank"; MMS protocol:WAP 2.0)

It works ive got every thing except MMS keep getting parsing error im sure its something ive done gotta keep working

Hey all. Been rooting since 1.5 but have some quick questions. Here's what I have gathered so far:

- the Jiminy rom is no longer relevant as it was a temp fix until Gingerbread came out. DONE
- At this point, really any rom I find would work (+/- certain features based on build)
-If you have personal favs, please reply with links
- Once I flash the new rom, I start the process of flashing to cricket and bring out QPST/etc
-Plenty of tuts on this. I think I'm good. Although having the newest .prl would be sweet if you can send a link for me to confirm. I have Nationwidedata.prl currently available.

Asking:::: Please confirm I am correct and/or correct me and provide links ( live preferable ). Any insight would be great.

Thank all to read and once I get this going, if other people are having the same 'problem', Il'l post a new tut.

I have a problem with the HTC Diag driver part. My PC installs the driver, but QPST gives an error when I try to go into Programming service. The error I receive is "online connection failure: unspecified error". Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? My phone is (obviously) rooted and unlocked. I have unlocked SPC via Revskills. I just can not get it to connect in Service Programming in QPST. Another version of this driver I had tried previously gave the same error, but allowed my machine to recognize it as "HTC Diag" rather than "HTC Modem", as this one does. Any help, suggestions, and/or ideas are greatly appreciated and welcome, unless they are ridiculous, of course. Thank you.

Actually, it was the build of QPST. I installed the latest 366 build and that fixed it right up. Thanks for the reply, though.

Here's something I can't figure out, how to write a PRL to the phone. I can't get QPST or CDMA Workshop to write it. I found some thread that gave a dialer code but it didn't work for me. Any ideas? Thanks for your assistance.

I get an error in QPST, but none in Workshop. I've read in another location (can't remember since I'm not at my desktop) that the two aforementioned programs do not work with this phone. The error in QPST is about NV_-somethi thang being read only. Workshop just thinks it worked when it really didn't. What other method may I try? Thanks for the reply.

Ok i just read the tut again and it will work the way it is written you can use revskills to get spc and unlock. you will do your programming in QPST just double check everything diag drivers installed in diag mode (##3424#) location on PRL mdn number min mumber make sure you do it step by step and it will work ive flashed 2 of these and did them pretty much this way

Ok, I've done how it's described, but I don't understand what you typed after "(##3424#)". I don't know what you meant by "location on..." there's nothing on "location" in the tutorial. I've done it all. It just doesn't write NV items because it says it's read only...
