I'll buy one. Can't decide whether or not to get the 8 or 16. $100 makes a huge difference to me. I wonder how much different this will be than my flashed iPhone 4 in terms of compatibility to the network, and any network settings. I figure I could sell my iPhone 4 with the half flash to cricket (talk and text) and put that along with the $100 I would have spent for DFS tools and just get this. Anybody care to comment on that?

Be nice if they pushed Android up to 2.3 gb a Month, after all we are still paying $55 a month.

They might. They did announce that they would be changing the plans up later this year and adding different data tiers for different prices.

I'm happy for iphone users, just bought a mercury and like android so I probably won't be switching anytime soon. But I hope they don't model their data plan changes around strategies like $10 for tether crap. No one likes to feel ripped off.

No, it is not. It's only coming to markets under the PCS spectrum. No AWS markets. Hopefully we can flash it.

i dont teather cause im always around wifi 90% of the time, but would like the feature if i need it without pay!! Them adding data really doesnt bother me tbo, i dont touch my 1gb data besides once! 10 dollars per 1gb sounds reasonable to me! Just dont "fine" use! throttle use at our bundle! if i pay for 1gb throttle if we go over dont make use pay for the next tier. Just my 2 cents

Since all other IPhones can send and receive MMS, except the 2g, this should be available on our phones as well. We can already flash them to talk and text and some people have figured out how to fully flash them on this forum. So, I don't think that would change.

However, it may become easier if we can do a complete Cricket firmware backup then load that backup onto another carrier's IPhone. I don't know if that will work since I have not ever flashed an IPhone beyond basic talk and text. That will also be a discussion for one of the flashing forums here....

Im really thinking about buying a Verizon I-phone 4S and having the cricket dealer here in PA fully flash it..Anyone care to comment on the cost and possibility of cricket doing that for their current customers?
    1. daniel885's Avatar
      daniel885 -
There is a local dealer in town doing full flashes on iPhones. From what I understand, Cricket has been loading back end software (or whatever) on the switches that support the iPhone and because of that, he was able to get full flashing to work on VZW and Sprint iPhones. IDK anything about how to do that, however.
