We knew it was only a matter of time.

Maybe ICS will be part of the update.

I do not think the muve will come with ics pushed with it. I am not sure this phone will even get ics. Not from cricket anyway. We need to figure out the true spec differences in the honor and mercury. Then start a ics tree from there rom .Then would have something solid to work off of knowing whats missing or different and not guessing. When i get my iconia ics done maybe i will try to get some help with this

ohh and i do not really need the muve music thing . just something else to strip out of the rom. grrrr

How hard would it be to run an upgrade for ICS after Muve is put on the phone?

ICS will not be part of the muve update. Got the update paperwork last week, and no mention of ICS in it.

And why would I want more junk on my phone? If your going to upgrade the software then give us something good. Not something that will make my bill higher or make my phone run slower. Let me decied what apps I want to have. I would love to get me a new phone without BLOATWARE right out of the box with a clean OS. Its my phone, my memory card, Leave it alone criKet.

all phones have bloatware regardless the carriers. you can always delete them if your rooted and using titanium backup.

Yes all phones do have bloatware, However why not just release a good phone with a pure OS without all the junk attached that is deleted as soon as its rooted? I already have widgets disappear on my phone when it slows down, what would 1 more app be like if they installed Muve on it? I close all apps and have to restart my phone atleast 3 times a week and as far as I can tell it is bloatware from Cricket Wireless that is killing my phone. I have took my phone back to factory settings and have no other apps downloaded to this phone. Do I want to root? Yes, But if I root I want ICS and to run it on a different network.

I was in Cricket today, and I didn't see anything either.

it will come sooner the August or it will not come to this phone. Same for ICS. By august they will be pushing out a new phone of some type would be my guess. Cricket does not care about UPDATING USERS AT ALL..
the muve will get a extra bit of money each month.

but really Nobody knows whats up with cricket. They are also talking to at&t about selling .So they would not invest foreword if this is true

Maybe there should be some sort of petition to speed up the process.
    1. ericarenee's Avatar

Good luck with that.. you cant petiton a company that does not CARE WHAT YOU THINK. this goes for both Cricket and Huawei.
Do not get me wrong i like cricket because of no contract and i actually have great reception and speed works for my needs. But they have NO SUPPORT PEOPLE AT there stores (here anyway) are very rude and its a take it or leave it attitude.
Huawei however ignores every attempt to contact them. Im so glad i paid for insurance on my phone because your warranty from Huawei would do you no good since you can not CONTACT THEM.. I HAVE SENT 363 EMAILS As of today and left 30 messages on there so called phone support line.. NO RETURN EMAIL NO CALL BACK..

so you use what you have or go somewhere is is there way of doing business.

Sorry to sound so gloom but its the truth from my experience .

Wow, thats a lot of work. Don't know how they got so far like that. And about that AT&T thing, does that mean we could have the same phones on a different network?
    1. ericarenee's Avatar
      ericarenee -
well it all depends .. most likely they will NOT Touch cricket as it is.. due to this whole anti competition thing. At&t is going to buy someone. it could be t mobile . if they do that they will likely take the contract customers and sell out the pre paid ones to cricket. but the whole gsm/ cdma thing is a stubbling block. Leap is saying its unlikely either of the two rumors will happen. But say they are TALKING this mostly comes from cnn by the way and a few other news/ techie sites .
