200 for an iPhone? I might just buy one to use as an iPod since an actual iPod is about the same xD

The iPhone 4s is $500, so would Cricket really try to sell a phone for more than that, or maybe drop the price on the 4s and sell the 5 for $500?

Idk.. $500 pushing it, for any phone IMO, I'm thinking they'll drop the 4 and sell the 5 for $500

Lol y'all know the 64gb 4s is like $999.99 off contract? You're not buying a phone. You're buying the name. Although apple might sue you for buying their name. This will explain

That's probably about right. At $50/ month that works out to a total cost of ownership over 2 years at $1849, which is certainly less expensive than contract carriers.

Still, that's way out of my budget. I wonder how many prepaid customers are going to be able to afford the new iPhones? It'll be interesting to see how that plays out for Cricket.

This website adds another $120 to my calculations because it uses $55/mo as the base. Cricket recently changed smartphone plans to $50/mo, which is why I used that amount. Am I correct? Or are iPhone monthlies higher?

Cricket has not changed the iPhone plans. The iPhone goes on the only plan available -- $55.00 per month plus local taxes.
