  • [VIDEO] HTC One Video Quality Tests (vs Galaxy S4, GoPro, Optimus G Pro)

    VS Galaxy S4

Overall I think the HTC One does a better job of handling video. Check out the videos below for a few different scenarios. The angle is much wider and the hardware stabilization is apparent.

VS GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition

Alright so GoPro is an industry leader in this market. They are expected to do well.

This video IMO does look better than what I've seen from the GS4. The angle is much wider and hardware stabilization is apparent. Just watch the hood line of the vehicle.

I have to sneak away from a busy house hold to get these videos so please excuse the quality.

Focus is set an infinity with the GoPro and the aperture is f/2.8 vs the HTC One's f/2.0. This gives the One an advantage in the light department but makes the depth of field a little shallow.

VS LG Optimus G Pro (AT&T)

The LG Optimus G Pro has the ability to use a software algorithm for stabilization just like the Galaxy S4. Just like the GS4 this requires it to be zoomed in and crop the image. Basically it just moves the image around with to make it appear stable.
