    Only works if you Custom Recovery using Salas Guide here:

    CWM for Mercury



    Instructions

    ***To Root***

    1.Download the FastRoot.v3.zip (1.5mb) here:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/729bmlrsovot76j/FastRoot.v3.zip


    2.Copy the "FastRoot.v3.zip" to your scdard.


    3.Choose "choose zip from sdcard"

    4.Install the "FastRoot.v3.zip"

    5.Reboot


    YOU ARE NOW ROOTED!!!


    ***To UnRoot***

    1.Same instructions as above but use this download instead.

    Great work. I was quickly scanning these posts to see how I can organize everything and promote it. His thread says you must have root access. You can install the custom recovery prior to obtaining root?

    Yes that's we tested I just custom recovery then he sent the file to my phone and wala I gain root And he did to

    Just do a brush boot install the custom recovery than fallow his guid and it only takes about 5 min and you a custom recovery and root
