(Software?) question regarding Muve Music, sd cards, and the Huawei Mecury.

So if I understand it correctly, in order to use the Muve Music feature of my $60 android plan, I must use Cricket's 4 GB Muve Music SD card instead of my 16 GB SD card. If I also understand correctly, 3 GBs of that Muve SD card is in use (and protectively partioned off), leaving just 1 GB of external storage available. I've read that it is particularly difficult to get into the Muve Music partion but is possible.

With that in mind, here is my question:

Would it be possible to pull the Muve Music software/apk/program off that SD card and put it on to another (larger) SD card (maybe even one that is partioned off)?

Thanks for any information you can provide,

    Nate

Give it a go.. Let's know, you do know that they sell a 8GB muve card on crickets website right? 6 for music and 2 for your needs.

You may be able to install the Muve Music apk from another source. Seems I've heard of that being done before.

I found a way to recover the space on the Muve Music Micro SD cards quite by accident.
I have my wireless Epson 635 printer on my network. I took the card and plugged it into the card reader and over the network I dropped 3.2 GB of info (movies) on it. Somehow the printer let all of the info on to the card.
I then took the card and plugged it back into my computer and formatted it. When it was finished I had 3.68 GB of space usable on the card instead of the 1 GB allotted.
I have now done this with 3 different Muve Music Micro SD cards and it worked on all of them.

    from superuser.com

i have not tried this as i threw away any muve music cards i had as soon as i got them

or could try SD formatter and see if that works:

from what I've read, it's not possible to move the muve music software partition anywhere else. You can't have a 16 gig micro sd card and put it on there is what I mean. :/ If you could, or if you find out anymore information i'd love to know as well. I don't want any stingy tiny 1 gig sd card. what's the point?

Would love to do that if someone knew how. I don't want a Muve Music SD card. I have a 16 gb one that I enjoy using a lot.

I'm hoping Oriax or one of the other developers on here might be able to pull something off/come up with a solution.

From the bit I have read up on the subject it can be done, but you need to buy a specific sdcard. Still trying to learn more.

I think the special partition Muve uses is the hang up. You would have to figure a way to format your card with that type of partition somehow from what I can tell. Or I could be completely wrong lol.
