I built a custom recovery from source for the ZTE Score.

(thanks LNR4E)
you will need to use flash_image to install the recovery, unless there is a fastboot mode I am unaware of.

Enjoy. CM7 is next.

That's great!
I'm looking forward to see how CyanogenMod runs on the Score. Hopefully somebody will put up some videos after it's completed.
Thanks for posting!

Thanks man, I worked hard on it. I have another one to upload that has the keylayout set differently and I disabled sleep mode in recovery. CM7 is coming along, but it's not as easy as one would assume. I will be formatting my device later to make a CWM backup of a stock rooted rom as well.

I was very happy to see that someone is working on porting CM7, hopefully cyanogenmod will run a little bit faster on the score than it does on the first Ascend.....

Thanks a million for the custom recovery man. I'm in need of a little assistance through. Before i start, let me say that my ZTE Score is rooted w/ zerg's and i have busybox installed, while this is my first android project,i have done minor tweaking on computers, so don't be afraid to give in depth explanations, just make sure they're detailed lol. Um, so i would like to use this custom recovery but i wanted to know if it were possible to use terminal emulator on my phone and supermanager app (ich gives me access to bootloader and recovery modes) to accomplish this task? The how-to link explains how to use adb fairly clearly and while it seems to mention terminal emulator, I'm not so sure. Any advice/ knowledge and a hasty reply would be helpful and very much appreciated

dougie,
Could you do a rom dump on the Score before you flash a custom recovery.
We really need it because there isn't one we can find.

Need Stock Recovery Img!
Love all the info and work to bring the Score into the Custom family, however a new upgrade was released and I have been unable to apply upgrade with the CWM recovery, the Score just hangs after reboot. I assume it need the stock recovery to achieve this. Can someone post the stock recovery.img so I can flash back, apply the update. Thanks!

Good Job!! I was just asked yesterday if I was sent a Score would I be interested in dev'ing for it. I told well of course I rather dev with phone in hand over doing it blind any day. Once you get everything worked out with CWm be sure to submit to koush on github so it can get officially built and merged into rom manager.
Need any help just hollar,I'll help any way I can, esp once I have one in hand.
