google android commander google it, it will be the first one on google download that and connect your phone remember when you connect ur usb to put it in debug mode under settings, applications, development, debug mode. it should find your phone when the android commander interface comes up on your computer you will see a bunch of files on your phone on the right side and your computer on the left. Now in the top left corner about 3 pictures over i think you will see a terminal picture which when u click it will bring you to an ADB shell when you open it it will look like the command line in windows download the flash_image.zip from this url you may have to sign up for the forums to download it
Android Forums
once that is downloaded un zip the flash_image.zip put the flash_image on the root of your sd card and also the ZTE_SCORE_CWM_RECOVERY.zip on the root of the sdcard unzip both files before putting them on the root of your sdcard aka the first page of your sdcard when it opens not the folder that says root and follow these instructions once it is on your sdcard
go into the android commander adb shell i explained earlier type su for super user if it was granted superuser rights it will come up as a # and blinkin cursor now type the following
step 1- mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock5 /system
step 2- cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
step 3- chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image
step 4- flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
^from the cwm recovery image.zip
if everything is going right after every step u enter and press enter in the android commander adb shell it should come back up with a # blinking cursor and at the last one it should hang for a little bit then come back up with a # blinking cursor after that reboot and you can now reboot into recovery by holding power button volume down and camera key any questions text me at 414-779-9845

Hello, I just rooted my phone but don't know what to do next to get rid of the bloatware. Can anybody explain how to do that please? I am a complete newb.
As an example: I want to get rid of both Bubble Bash and Uno. When I try to uninstall all options are greyed out. So how do I go about getting rid of them?Last edited by joopyhellspawn; 01-14-2012 at 11:41 PM.

Or you can get titanium backup which does a more thorough job uninstall all files associated with an app. (apk, com.x.x type files)

Thank you guys. I managed to get rid of almost all the bloatware including the Muve Music. I ditched the Muve Music sd card and now am using an 8gb sd card I had on hand. So far everything is working fine.
As for the Edy and his boot loop problem; I had that as well after the first week with my Score. I figured out that I was going to need to do a factory restore but was hoping I was wrong so I took it to Cricket and they said yep, that is what it needed. I was pissed because I had to drive 120 miles to find out something I already knew. But once we I did it I was back up and running in about 5 minutes. I even got back the apps I had paid for without having to pay again. So most likely that is what Edy is going to have to do.

I need help my zte score will not download anything from the web! I rooted my phone and got crazy with root explorer and deleted system app called downloads the one with green icon with the arrow pointing down. I may have screwed up and changed the permissions on that app bc I can't install the app it says app not installed. How do I install system apps? Or put my score back to stock before I went root explorer happy! I would appreciate your help! Thanks!

Hi, thanks for posting you willingness to help.
I just got my ZTE Score today.
I want to install Google Voice, but it appears that cricket has blocked this and similar apps.
I am hoping I can get around it by rooting? and changing some configuration.
I want to use this phone as a test platform for development.
Any ideas?
Also, I got it on walmart.com. Advertised 4GB sd card, but only 0.92 GB is listed. Have I been shorted 3GB?
Thanks,

I was able to Google Voice installed by using some information I gathered while perusing these forums. Thanks to everyone for contributing.
Basically I installed AppInstaller and downloaded the apk for GoogleVoice.
Still don't know about the SD card....
Regards,
Brian
