Another CTIA 2012 Video of the LG Optimus Vu

Just in case you wanted to get another look at the LG Optimus Vu, a representative was nice enough to note some of the key features in a video for us.

This phablet is currently available in CDMA form in South Korea. This makes the possibility of it coming to a CDMA carrier stateside very high. It does not mean we could not see it in GSM form instead or as well.

Expect ICS if it was released. It would either launch with it or be released shortly after we believe.

Our First Video of the LTE Nova 4.0 V8000 (probably for Cricket Wireless)

This phone features solid specs and should come in around the same price point as the Huawei Mercury. Be ready for these phones to go head to head on Cricket's network. It's a great possibility. Ice Cream Sandwich lovers rejoice!

More details to follow this evening including high resolution photos.

Verizon LTE Speeds Horrible @ CTIA 2012

Verizon's LTE network seems to be suffering here during CTIA (New Orleans, LA). We were hoping that it would allow us to have the required bandwidth to upload pictures/videos in close to real time. It was tested with a Galaxy Nexus and Droid RAZR MAXX.

It is plagued by timeouts, slow transfer speeds etc. If I were any of the big carriers, I would have handled this like a Nascar race where they bring in mobile towers to enhance their network temporarily.
ZTE Phones (X501 and V8000)...?

We caught wind that there are a couple of new entries in Cricket's system. One is the ZTE X501 and the other is the ZTE V8000.

You might just get to enjoy these devices by the swimming pool or on the beach this year.

There is a cloud of secrecy floating over the ZTE table, but sure enough we will revisit them tomorrow and get the best coverage for the forum.
HTC Thunderbolt is the best Android phone ever!

Does anyone feel differently? We do... Just checked the date... It is May 4th, 2012. Had to make sure it wasn't March 2011.

I didn't want to post this in the Thunderbolt section for obvious reasons :-).
