Google Voice just got itself a nice little update today, with a slew of improvements coming down the pike. They are:

  • The ability to prefetch voicemails: Say someone leaves a voicemail, but you don't listen to it right away and end up somewhere with data coverage. Now Google Voice will download the voicemail immediately (prefetch it), so that you'll have access to it later.
  • Allow sending text messages to multiple recepients: Huzzah. Now you can spam text your friends and family all at the same time.
  • Improved text message notification: Looks the same to us, so maybe on the back end?

And not included in the changelog is that Google Voice now has a spiffy blue icon.
Head into the Android market to get your update on, or we've got download links after the break.
