ChaCha


, one of HTC's new Facebook phones, has launched in the UK, with SIM-free prices floating around £250 (~$400). Currently Three is the only British network offering subsidized ChaChas, which are yours on 24-month contracts of £20 or more per month.

Interestingly, it seems the ChaCha has been given a last-minute bump in CPU speed, which has recently jumped from 600 to 800MHz. This puts it on par with the
Desire Z

T-Mobile G2


in terms of raw performance, making it a more attractive proposition for fans of this sort of form factor. We played with the ChaCha at HTC's recent
roadshow


, and although the unit we saw wasn't running final software, we were impressed with the design and build quality, particularly on the keyboard.
