    Your welcome!
I have a feeling once loprenti gets his phone he will put mine to shame. I'm just a noob at this.

On a side note. Try out the quickpic app. It does a smack down on the stock gallery app. IMHO Free @ Google play.

I have installed Quandryron's version of exilemod, which he called exile_kitchen. Man! After moving the Dalvik cache to SD-Ext, I currently have 108.39 MB of internal memory left, and that's with all of my apps installed. Before, it was all I could do to keep 15 megabytes free in order to keep the low memory space message from appearing. I've been testing it for a few hours, and I can't tell a speed difference with Dalvik on SD-Ext.

This was a great solution to my quandry. Thank you, ever so much, Quandryron.

Hi Quandryron, a few of questions:

Can you tell me what kind of apps2sd script is built into the ROM? I think I want to use Darktremor, so if that is not what is installed, can I just install right on top of a newly flashed rom?

Also are there any commands to run to move dalvik cache to SD-EXT, or is that already setup in the ROM?

    Thanks

Edit: After finding out what dsixda kitchen is, I was able to find my answers. dsixda kitchen implements Darktremor a2sd and dalvik cache to sd. Thanks again Quandryron. Will flash as soon as I get a new microSD.

A belated thanks for exile_kitchen. It really did the trick for me, except now I have to go back and that zte splash, which I did on the original exilemod,
but I 'm so happy with this version I don't mind.

I'll give a general summary, and then will post some notes when I get a chance. You unwrap the rom zip file, which will give you, in part, a ramdisk.gz file. You unwrap that, which involves unzipping and then using cpio, to get at the initlogo.rle file. That's the file you want to change. I did all of that in
linux. Then I created a graphic of the correct size, and ran a windows program, can't remember the name as I sit here, something like to-rle, first making a graphic.raw file, and then an rle file. chmod the rle file to +x, and then put it in the unwrapped ramdisk folder. There is a perl script out there that helps with the rewrapping, but if you look at the script you will see a few places where at a minimum you need to change file names. You end up with a new boot.img that you rewrap into a new rom file. I have never done this before, and the first couple of attempts did not work, so for me it was
a bit of work. I do have notes that I will gather and post as soon as I can.

Absolutely digging the newest revision! Together with eXile Kichen, the Score's really stepped up for being just a 'cheap' phone.

Sticky updated with two new themes by stark74. Be sure to check them out!! :-D
