I was looking around on xda and I saw one really complicated way and another was just a simple flash via cwm, both on different phones of course. So I figure it could be done on the score, it being gingerbread and all. Only problem is that im pretty new to all this stuff, i cant even change my status bar icons right haha

I'm looking into I'm positive I can do it but will definitely have to wait till I can get my hands on a computer again which sometimes is not to often Sorry. This is why 95% of everything I've done has been on this device the only thing I've done on pc was a quick run through kitchen for my rom and testing the modified zerg. Unless someone knows a good app that might work on this device to break down classes.dex, or odex files or let me know if there's a way to use t.e. to do this :-)

My upcoming theme which is a complete black holo dark theme will include crt animations, ics thin progress and seek bars, black ics pop ups with inverted text, transparency in the notification drop down, accurate ics battery mod and more. I'll be posting tomorrow so if you want to port it feel free. But to answer your question no you can not decompile and compile on a device. It requires sdk Java, smali and baksmali plus Linux or an apk manager/tool.

Sounds like a cool theme. Oh and the android kitchen usin cygwin also works pretty quickly and conveniently to break these down to there smali and baksmali components as it comes with some of the above mentioned tools. Thanks for the feedback and upcoming theme :-)
