    Low Disk Space (again)

I am getting the low space notification again. I have had to hard reset my phone 3x now. Okay.. so about a month ago I had 30mb of space. Now I have 15mb and no new apps were installed. I have 5 texts since then. I deleted call log. Deleted cache on all apps (2 only had a cache). I have deleted cookies/history/cache in my 2 browsers and still no space became available.

This phone is losing space w/o me even adding anything. It already comes w/such a small internal storage it's hard to have more than a couple apps. And yes all apps that can be moved to sd card already are. (all but 2). I also tried a cleaner from google play store. It said it freed some space, but nope still 15 mb left. If I lose anymore space my phone will be back to looping on the muve screen on startup and I will have to hard reset for a 4th time.

I have heard rooting might help, but I have no idea how to do anything like that and am afraid too mess it up more.

Any ideas or is this just common and I am stuck unless I delete all my apps. Horrible horrible phone regarding internal storage.

I had a similar problem on my old rooted DINC 2.3.4. This issue doesnt appear on my S3 4.1.2. The culprit was several apps "growing data" not just cache. Facebook was the usual suspect saving "data" that made the low space warning popup. And the warning message didnt popup until the data size was getting about the same size as the app itself. Look thru application manager for each app and delete the data for those apps with large data, imo. Might help.

Twitter is/was the culprit. I did delete the data (wasn't sure what that would do) it gave me my 30 mb back though. That is a huge app that will not let me move to sd card. sucks. Thanks.

rooting the device and putting a custom rom on it will certainly fix the issues. however i agree that facebook and games are usually the blame for slowly adding more data to the app itself. i've seen facebook bloated to 40MB on a zte score!

As indica said rooting and using a custom Rom will help especially if you have an sd-ext

For easy root and recovery you can try this post

    http://unleashedprepaids.com/showthread.php?tid=7589

And I've put out a lightweight rom for this phone that'll take advantage of an sd-ext you should try found here

    Hope this helps
