"Android Feature-Phone"? Not According to Cricket's Website

As you know, Cricket's website is going through some changes, so this might be a mistake.. or not..

Cricket has the ZTE Chorus listed as a "smartphone". When we first learned about the Chorus, it was said to be running an Android operating system (which is usually put on "smartphones". The Chorus is different because they don't allow you to access the Android Market. The phone has the Android interface, but is mainly made for it's Muve Music feature. It goes on the $55 rate plan for the Muve feature-phones, not the $65 Android Muve Music plan.

Cricket is also mentioning it's 600 Mhz processor under the phone details. When you click on "Features" it will say "Yes" next to the "Smartphone" feature.

So, is this a smartphone because it's running Android, or is it a feature phone because there is limited access? You decide.

So, is this a smartphone or feature-phone? It is only available on the $55 Muve plan yet it is running Android and is listed as a smartphone.

According to one of the reviews I saw it is running Android 2.3. I think the review was by Phonescoop.

Let me know what you think of the phone when you get a chance to use it. It looks like the sound quality is supposed to be good from what I read.

    Ya saw that review.. interesting.

It's not listed on mycricket as a smartphone. It is clearly a feature phone.

When you go to features it says "Smartphone" and next to that it says "Yes". At least it did a few hours ago. Maybe they changed it.

If it is an "Android Feature Phone" surely you could use ADB to install a few apps, root it, etc.

I was thinking that too. Then people would have Android and Muve Music on the $55 plan.

What did you think of it? Did it have good sound quality? I think I read on Cricket's website a lot about the sound.
