yay for no success on apns.

    razr maxx, 4.1.2 rooted, gosms

okay, i've tried all the apn stuff here, on xda, HF, etc

even did the recent build.prop edit thats down a thread or two.

so; can't get mms to work even with manual editing of gosms or any other such

the apks from the site with all the supposedly autosetup mms things for various flavors of android don't do anything but say it can't authorize.

the build.prop edit lets me add apns via the settings menu, but if i do the exact settings via the link (see build.prop thread and the link stephen proffitt posted for the apn info) it'll save nothing, and if i leave out the two entries it will clear the apn on (mcc and mnc) it does nothing.

    so:
edit apn with mnc and mcc = no save
edit apn without those two = save, but doesn't allow send/recieve.
gosms mms server settings do nothing (odd, since i tried to copy over the same stuff my droid1 had and it didn't work at all, but the droid1 can still send while on wifi, what?)
editing the apns xml file doesn't seem to do anything
editing the apns via the ##program menu saves them, but doesn't appear to do anything as they don't show up anywhere else.

all in all, i'm a little frustrated, as i know this can be made to work.

no dice. tried just about all the sms programs in the market that were both free and allowed apn editing. they all time out.

copied the settings i used on my droid one to the droid x2 i got my sister, and it works perfectly. copied letter for letter to my razr and it just errors on me.

I just use textra and go settings then MMS settings. In there I highlight "Activate Mobile Data" and Highlight "Manually Configure APN". Under MMSC I put "http://mms.mycricket.com". Everything else I leave blank.
