Thanks for posting up here. How long have you had this exact phone working?

Cricket is going to suggest dialing *228 as long as you're in your home area. You might want to try this. I believe you PMed me and said you did have a Cricket Optimus C, correct?

My phone, Cricket Optimus C, has been working for about a month. I use it at home in Baltimore and at work in DC. My phone acts the same way in both places: only outgoing calls, "no network available" for Facebook, "cannot connect to server" for email

I called the Cricket corporate help 800 number but couldn't get through.
I called a Cricket-owned store in Baltimore. The first time they said try *228.
I did, but the voice eventually said the operation failed.
I called back the Baltimore store a second time. They said wait time was extremely long. I tried it any way. I terminated the wait 15 minutes later.

Kisshell, Baltimore and DC are AWS band only. Non-AWS phones(Of which the Droid2 is one) are not using the cricket service and are roaming 100% of the time. Because of this, it can be hard to troubleshoot the issue, since you are not on the cricket network with your phone.

SO is it possible that my droid 2 gonna work with a new number? I changed my phone to a simple cricket handset and the incoming is working. SO, is it that my flash went wrong. I flashed my droid2 3 times but it was not working.

It sounds like it will be a rough road ahead trying to use the droid 2 in the Baltimore/Washington market. You would not be on the cricket network at all, and constantly roaming on sprint, even in the city due to the lack of AWS support on that phone. This sounds like a roaming issue to me, assuming your flash was done correctly. Good luck trying to get anyone to take a look if this is the case.

There have been people that have successful used a flashed phone in an AWS market, but like Monty said, I wouldn't recommend it.

Also, keep in mind Cricket can terminate your service. You're not supposed to be roaming that much.

The Huawei Glory might be a good option for you. It is probably going to be Cricket's best phone.
