Cricket LTE - Does it Use Band 17?

Hi folks - I was doing research on buying a new BYOD phone today and the question of LTE band 17 came up - big. AT&T's primary LTE Band across the country is reportedly band 17. Cricket advertises LTE coverage via the AT&T network. And yet I see reports of people with the same phone as my current one having trouble getting LTE on Cricket (a Huawei Ascend Mate 2, which has all four AT&T LTE bands - 2,4,5 & 17).

I further found a reference on another forum/search that suggests Cricket only uses LTE bands 2 & 4, and doesn't use 17 at all anywhere in the U.S. If true, the LTE coverage areas available to Cricket users would be significantly less than those of regular AT&T customers. LTE band 17 also has much better building penetration characteristics.

I was also referred to an app called LTE Discovery, which identifies what LTE Band your phone is connected through.

I'm here in Los Angeles, currently on Band 4.

I'm curious to know if anyone else connecting through Cricket is able to use Band 17? Posts and comments very welcome.

And I'll now add that yes, I'm seeing Band 17 used now on my Cricket phone... So I've answered my own question, thanks.
