    cricket thinks im tethered

Ever since about a month after the tetheing plan started I quit seeing the "it looks like your tethered" page, until now. I followed up on a link that took me to abovetopsecret.com and after being there for a few mins was redirected to the previously mentioned page. After 3 reboots I called cricket, I got the dumbest person I have ever talked to with them, she was clueless and no help. I decided to go ahead and try another page even though I know it doesn't work like, but it did work, no redirect. I went back to above top secret and after 2 or 3 min, same message. That time I came straight here without even closing my browser and typed this out. WHAT IS GOING ON?

Cricket says they do not block certain websites I believe that to b false. I had the same problems with sites I will fail to name I rebooted phone went to other sites worked fine went back to site like u said same problem I used an app to search that site directly with out browser and site n all info were there. So my guess is these sites might be blocked and u get redirected for that reason

I have had alot of issues with this tethering message as well. Just out of curiosity I tried the website abovetopsecret.com and I got the tethering message. It is verified that cricket does block certain websites.

cricket does not block websites, they would not spend the money on it and they would not invest their time in doing so, it would require too much maintenance.

I did not mean that they would intentionally block a website. I have read that their tether blocking system is watching the way that the website is communicating, and if it does not communicate in mobile mode then it will think that a you are using a non mobile device to view the website, therefore it would redirect you to the tethering message. It is most likely a glitch and Cricket should be notified.

I've used desktop view when tethering my tablet with no issues and have viewed websites with no mobile veiwing with no problems but when I went to torrent sites which some now have been removed it would redirect me. Maybe cricket doesn't block sites just a coincidence I guess

This is one of the best comments I have ever read. Thank you for clarification

I can view the website without any issues on my D4.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?

ive read a few things about this, solution seemed to be clear cache, put browser in web only mode, not sure how to do that. it was odd i was tethering yesterday and everything was fine for 10min or so (i dont pay i was testing it) and i got the cricket thing. which browser do you have to change the settings on computer or phones? stupid question i know but it seems pretty goofy to pay for tethering to browse wap on your imac lol.

Use Opera Browser, best one for any phone and no clearmode.mycricket.com tethering pages. I think its the way the browsers are designed that conflict with crickets network. Opera browser doesnt conflict, its in sync.
