Question How to determine operator of the tower signal I'm connecting to?

How do I determine who the operator is of the tower I'm connecting to. (not who physically owns the tower, but who the operator of the signal is that I'm using).

From driving around Milwaukee with my Galaxy S II I keep getting the following:
MCC/MNC: 310/90 (I thought these were GSM values...?)
    SID: 6532, NID: 1

From what I can tell by looking up these numbers, they are all Cricket. I know that Cricket has some towers, but I can drive all around town and I always get those values... Does that mean that Cricket really has that many towers? Or do those values always say Cricket because I have a Cricket phone?

3G and 4G LTE Cell Coverage Map - OpenSignal

i'm not sure if it will tell you if you're on a partner or roaming tower though.

I would be interested in finding out whether or not this app helps you... I moved into a new house and have HORRIBLE reception. It's such a nightmare, I've resorted to making Voip calls with a huge delay. I would love to know who's sh!tty tower I'm connected to haha.

    Sent from another Galaxy...
