Cricket should be showing off their 3G network. They should have advertisements showing how you can stream TV and radio over their 3G network. They should encourage people to use those applications, not punish them for using them.

  2. Remove this advertisement.

Whats going to happen when Cricket Wireless comes out with 4G, are they going to set the limit to 1GB?? I still think my idea is better about forming the Peoples Cell Phone Network.

I think 4G should be at least 5 GB before throttling.

I think maybe they should just add like $5 (or whatever the costs ran) per extra GB Seems like everybody would be happy that way Or maybe they could make it where you put money in your flex bucket in case you run over, so you don't get throttled.

Is it true that Virgin Mobile has a 5GB limit before slowing down?

Yeah, I think it is too much though. There are a lot of people tethering and using more than 10 GB's a month.

There were some people on that Virgin Mobile forum using it as their only connection to the Internet. It was crazy.

For $25 dollars a month and you get unlimited Internet, I would do that too. Now that there are free WiFi hot spots all around, you could get lucky and hop onto one of them and continue the fun.

I got data counter widget on my phone now.
In 2 hours I've used almost 30mb and I'm throttled right now so I'm not using my phone near as much as normal.

I like this app/widget because it lets you set a custom monthly service start date for tracking.

That's a big price jump for Virgin Mobile. I have a friend that couldn't decide between Cricket and virgin mobile. This may make a difference for him. Before purchasing Cricket, I was thinking about Virgin Mobile, but decided on Cricket because they have texting to Canada, which vm doesn't have. Hopefully Cricket never changes that
