In 2 hours I've used almost 30mb and I'm throttled right now so I'm not using my phone near as much as normal.

I like this app/widget because it lets you set a custom monthly service start date for tracking.

I did it this past weekend and I can't say it does or does not work. I can say it did not mess up my phone at all. Search nitriscript on google. Turn off your antivirus when you run it or else your AV will go nuts. You just plug your phone to PC, extract, and run the .exe file. Follow the instructions and that's it. I did a reboot, not sure if it's required.

1/2 way through my billing cycle, I am at 1.93GB of data usage. I have been maintaining 0.90+mbps DL speed and around 0.50+mbps UL based on the speedtest.net app. I pretty much run Pandora all day and watch alot of Netflix.

If anyone else tries it out, I would be curious about your results. Also, it would be a good time to check a couple PRLs from the PRL thread to ensure you have the best one running for your area.
I tried this and the throttle.zip thing and neither worked... What phone do you have and what ROM are you running?

I think I was premature in thinking this worked. I was getting good speeds until I hit around 1.90GB for the month and then my throttling kicked in. I've been averaging around 130kbps DL now.

I've been working on another solution I found with opening up the services.jar file that's inside the /system/framework folder. There's a method that shows you can delete some throttling files(7) from there. I tried yesterday, but when I rebooted, it would boot back up to the homescreen and then I couldn't open up anything or do anything with the phone. Had to restore a backup.

I may keep working on it. Not sure. Supposedly, by deleting those throttling files, it will keep your phone from signalling to your carrier that you need to be throttled. From reading up on various forums about this, some say it works and others say it's a myth!

Well its not as easy as just deleting the throttle files... I found this guide on droidforums but I don't know if it will work. Im afraid to try it lol hey quick question: if Iflash a back up, will everything work like normal? I don't have to mess with any APNs or PRLs?

    Here is the tutorial

APNs and PRLs should be the same regardless of what rom you flash. They stick with the phone and are not determined by the ROM. At least, that is my understanding.

That is the mod I tried. It's the same thing. Extracting the service.jar file. Open it up and modify the classes.dex file by removing the 7 throttle files within it. Close it back up and push it to your /system/framework folder on your phone. Reboot.

It wasn't that hard to do with the tools downloaded, but just didn't work on my phone. It may be the ROM that I'm using. I've heard mixed results with it based on what ROM/phone you are using.

Right... have you tried the throttle.zip?? Its meant to do the same thing: delete those files and then reboot. That didn't work immune Droid X. Maybe it had something to do with the network and the way Crikey sends data? Or maybe we have to do it when we are NOT throttled?
