Try doing a ota programming. *228 or *22804

Btw what plan is it on? If its on the $45 then you need a proxy. Also doing a factory reset will revert some flashing settings like the MIP and PPP config in order for data to work.

If your not familiar with flashing a phone try checking out the QPST Tutorial on this thread.

Or you can try going to where it was flashed and maybe they can reflash it for you.

Umm.. This wasn't expected by you?

I get so angry when customers do this and then blame it on me..

What do you mean by "This wasnt expected by you" ?

Yes alot of ppl do factory resets which will revert the settings to before it was flashed, When i use to work at a store id always tell them that if they did reset the phone that the flash will be lost. People that dont usually know what they are doing always end up unflashing it.

The reason why i said try a *228 is because i read the post in a hurry, i thought it said send or recieve txts and that is why i suggested the *228. Thats why i had edited the post and said that they should try using QPST if they arent familiar than try going to the store where they flashed it and have them reflash it.

My post was for the OP bro

I meant to say he should have known it would knock out the flash.. kind of lame they won't redo it for him for free at least once though, I usually give them 1 or 2 chances.

When you dial *228 on that particular phone, it resets the ppp back to verizon. Basic nam is still there, but not EVDO. Look for Fascinate flashing on here, you can fix it by using qpst and cdma workshop.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?

Ok, just tried to fix that phone. No data still. My assumption would be that the password for EVDO is not writing, like it happens with the UScellular mezmerize. If somebody can get his port connected remotely to a paid CDMA workshop and write the EVDO through that, would be nice. Username stays there because NVs are sent after writing with QPST.
