Why is Cricket slower than straight talk?

I am currently trying both straight talk and cricket with my Verizon Galaxy S4.

I got hspa+ and realize that lte is limited to att an true unlocked phones.

With cricket the best speed I can get is 4mbps.

straight talk with the same phone, location , and tower, gets me 10 mbps.

If the network is the same, and cricket throttles down the speed, why chose cricket?

    Thanks.

I've get anywhere from 4 to 9 Mb/s with cricket, depends on the time of the day, and signal strength. If I'm in a crowded area with lte, it drops down to 3g.

lower prices, bigger data buckets. . i honestly don't see any difference between 4mbps and 10mbps for what i do. when customers bring this up i just do the math and show them they will only be utilizing their full speed data bucket faster
