Question 3G doesn't show up on my Flashed HTC Desire

Yes I have the service up and running and I called cricket and have them registered my HTC Desire's MEID under my cricket account.

Thing is that I had 3 running before I had my MEID registered. My android phone before it was the Huawei ascend and it had pretty good 3G speed. However, when compared to my HTC desire's 3G speed. it was slow.

So I decide to temper with the wireless settings and switched out a few prls that where Hybrid and no success. When I went back to my original 42900 prl my 3G didnt come back.

Is there any solution to my problem? Should I reflash or reprogram the phone?

Hybrid PRLs are pretty much the only thing you're going to get working Chicago. Chicago is a tri band area. The hybrid PRLs utilize Sprint's network instead of just the AWS band your phone does NOT have.
Please check the forum and post there before PMing me. I have over 674 unread PMs due to the fact that they are issues which should have been addressed here.

If thats the case, are they known to go at slow speeds? Does a prl server even go down?

PRL stands for preferred roaming list. It tells you phone what towers to connect to basically. You get what you can get in Chicago. It's either get a tri band phone, or see what kind of speeds you can get on Sprint towers. I don't remember how fast or slow I was going when I was in Chicago.

I'd go into that Chicago thread I started. I believe others have chimed in.
