I need opinions please, Moto Droid X2 vs Evo 4G

I have the opportunity to either get a Evo 4G or Moto Droid X2 from a friend for free, but it has to be one or the other. Both phones have bad Esn's and I want to flash the phone myself (have not done a droid flash yet) I want to know everyone's opinion of which is the better phone to have on Cricket function wise etc..... and which has the least issues to do a full flash. Thank you.

Is it easier to get MMS to work on the Droidx2 over the Evo4G?

Does GOSMS work for you with no issues?

---------- Post added at 09:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:18 PM ----------

Is GOSMS like a APK actual app? or is it a program thats built into the phone somehow?

I haven't ever flashed a android phone yet but I'm usually pretty good at figuring things like that out eventually anyways.
One big question that I do have for you is that I noticed that the tutorial for the Droidx2 is like from April with proably 55 pages or so in that thread, Same deal with the Evo4G should I start with page one? or has so much changed since the first page should I start at the last page and read all the ways backwards? basically what I want to know is are the tutorials updated as things are improved?
