    FOTA update after root?

Hi all. So I rooted my phone with no problems, but after doing so I realized my phone wasn't updated. Now when I try to install the update it says update failed. I did delete some of the bloat ware apps if that makes any difference. Is there any way I can get the update to install?

Ok root is not the prob it's that you removed system/apps that are checked for during the update. Without them there it believes your file system (the FS part of the update) is compromised and incomplete so of course won't update

No worries though just head over to this post

Once there you'll see where I posted a stock backup along with a temp CWM zip. If you still have stock recovery then follow the directions on that post and you should be all good

If you have my latest CWM Recovery installed restore the backup mentioned above then follow the link in my recovery post on here to my UPP post where I have a zip for the stock recovery as it will be required to update as well

I downloaded and extracted the file to just my SD card. I try to boot into the stock recovery, it seems to start fine but then fails. It shows the Android mascot on his back with his chest open with a red exclamation mark above it. No buttons respond and I have to pull the battery to get from that screen. Apparently I screwed up the stock recovery I think.
    Nevermind I figured it out

I'm not sure if I extracted the update.zip correctly of if its a bad download. Every time I try install the update.zip I get a signature verification fail message and can't get it to install. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
