The screen/display resolution on the v8000 is only about 80 or so pixels shy of the m886... Which might be why some people are concerned about picture quality? I'm gonna check it out today and see of I'm feeling saucey...

I'm assuming merc ics just sucks because it's a demo. But I know they're 8mp and VGA..but the mercs Front camera sucks ass and its VGA but the IPhone 4s was VGA and it's great. The 8mp camera on the merc is crap compared to let's say a HTC or anothet major brand. So I'm just trying to see how ZTE handles their products. Ya know?

It's most likely a hardware thing. Iphone probably uses top notch hardware. Where these cricket brands do what they can lol.. Anyway I've decided to wait. The guy at the cricket store said the s3 is gonna be there by the 23 of this month.

Ive had the Engage for little over a month. Wouldn't recommend this phone to anybody. Horrible battery life! List is too long. The S3 I guessing will be $500? I flashed an s2 epic and works great. Paid less than $200. I can't give Engage away.. want it? $150

    finally....

I thought it was just me. Here are my complaints...

-gorilla glass must have gotten air in screen because a week after I bought it, there was a huge air bubble

    -OS is always freezing

    -ICS is slow

    -phone heats up

    -battery life sucks

    -tons of bloatware

    -bad signal

-no updates to fix any of the software issues

-call forwarding doesn't work and when enabled, I can't receive calls (setup with *71<google voice #>

-when wifi is on, the 1x/2g/3g data connection disconnects

-cricket provided "control panel" with shutdown/restart is not available
***restart usually requires root but my mercury has restart capabilities provided natively thanks to cricket

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. I PROMISE YOU IT'S HORRIBLE!

Anybody successfully rooted the Engage? I've tried every Root method mentioned for this Gem and NO LUCK?
