    Nightmare so far... :(

    Hello,

So I got the Galaxy S3 SPH-L710 that I'm looking to flash to Cricket. All went well in Chris' tutorial except finding the MSL. Apparently with the 4.3 update, you cannot get it using $ getprop ril.MSL in ConnectBot or any other terminal app. I heard you have to downgrade to 4.1 first to get your MSL, and I tried it using Odin and I get "FAILED" even though I'm sure the firmware is right (see image below).

I selected the 4.1 one as well..

Sadly enough that didn't work. Not only that, but my device isn't supported for Kies 3 or the Kies version Samsung has on their website for my phone.

Now when I try using my phone, it's stuck in Odin mode and says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode from Kies & try again." Yeah well, I can't use Kies because my device supposedly isn't supported?

Can someone PLEASE help.. this is really stressful.

    Thanks!

Sorry for double posting, but this worked:

    1) I downloaded the Android 4.3 stock firmware from
    Sammobile GS3 Srint 4.3 Firmware

    .
    2) Then I downloaded Odin3 v1.85 from
    here

    .
    3) Moved the .tar.md5 firmware file inside the Odin folder.
    4) Kept my device where it was stuck in Odin Mode.
    5) Opened Odin3 v1.85 while my USB cable was plugged in.
    6) When the phone is detected, it'll say "Added!!" under Message & the box will turn yellow.
    7) Check the box PDA and click the word "PDA" & browse to your firmware file.
    8) Make sure Re-Partition is unchecked, and leave the rest.
    9) Click "Start" and let it run through its process.
    10) The device will reboot when it's finished and Odin will say "PASS!".

Thanks to the help of Chris and a tutorial from another forum.
