A few words about MSL on Jelly bean. You are better off buying one for $15 or whatever. I just got done with one for the sake of it pretty much and tested a few things.
    1) MSL is not in NV items. Though you can read them fully, you won't find it there.
    2) None of the methods in cdma workshop work to read it either.
    3) So you have to go with a manual method of unlocking a bootloader, then making sure to SBF the correct version of 4.0.4 (it took me 3 tries to get the correct file loaded). If you do not write the correct 4.0.4, your imei will zero out. Always check. After that, run the script. It did give me a wrong msl initially, but then showed the correct one.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?
