Fix for Hard-Bricked Cricket Samsung S3s

I desperately need help from someone who HAS taken the 4.3 update (and is rooted). Can someone please:

    1. Open terminal emulator
    2. type su to gain superuser rights
    3. type
    dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/backup.bin bs=1024 count=71680
    4. upload the backup.bin

This is really urgent... I bricked my wife's phone and I need help!!!
Anybody who can help with this I would be eternally grateful!

For those who would like to know how I got into this nightmare... I tried to install CWM recovery using Terminal Emulator, and the tutorial I was using apparently pointed me to the wrong "mmcblk0pxx" (xx being the partition number). I don't know what the partition number was, because it was open on the browser on her phone, which no longer boots up.

No ODIN. No screens at all. I've heard people have had luck imaging an sdcard with the same partition information as our phone (pulled using the commands listed above), but it must be pulled from a working S3. Then it can boot into ODIN mode for imaging... If I can get this working, I would be glad to post a tutorial.

I tried but these commands are not working for me. Msg titan or proffitt and see if they can provide it.

    First, thanks for trying!
Second, Is it giving you the I/O summary at the end? Is it allowing superuser permissions?
I tried it on an S4 running cyanogenmod 11 with success... Maybe if you're running stock Busybox is required?

You posted two commands. One ran .04 secs and made a tiny file. The other command failed. Dont remember how. SU works. I have busybox. Best try titan or proffitt, imo.

If there's anybody else that can try this out in the meantime, that'd be great!

Nevermind, I fixed it. I created a new recovery sdcard using a riffbox file, the partition information, and a stock ODIN file for 4.3. EVERYTHING IS FINE NOW. :-D
