Entropy lag is not fixed in ICS or above. If it was these apps or mods would have no positive effect on ICS or above devices. And Im not sure what the statement about speeding up a factory reset is about. Factory reset would delete all entropy apps or mods and leave you on stock entropy and generator. Anyway, if you doubt these are legit, read the google code discussion about entropy generators.

Issue 42265 - android - Android empties the entropy pool, resulting in blocking, user perceived lag/poor performance - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting

that is a android engineer saying it was a bug and it was broken in gingerbread and before. anything in ics/jb you feel is purely placebo

Your cherry picking parts of the discussion. Heres an idea. Try it and tell me it doesn't work. My ohone boots faster. My apps load faster. Its more touch responsive. And its consistently thay way. But Im just experiencing placebo. So if thats case, then uninstalling or stopping this mod should leave me running just as fast. But it goes back to lagging. It goes back to taking 5 minutes to boot up. Keep in mind I have 240+ apps installed. Im also on 4.1.1 with a custom kernel OCd to 2.1ghz. There is nothing placebo about this. It works. Anyone who says it doesn't hasnt tried it.

im not cherry picking anything, im reading where the guy who works for google on stuff like this says it shouldnt be working. and holy crap you wonder why your phone lags i have maybe 50 apps i could say ive purchased in the 4 years ive been using it. i could not imagine needing that much crap. as i stated a factory reset would wipe out your device and give you a clean slate ergo removing the clutter. this is very similar to windows in that over time you install more and more stuff and it bogs dog, you can run all sorts of cleaner apps etc but the best way to get it back to working great is by reinstalling windows and wiping everything.

I use over 100 of those apps on a regular basis. I use the rest fairly regularly. I also keep a clean phone. Sure I realize most people dont use as many apps as I do, but thats not the point. The point is your Google guy says it SHOULDN'T WORK. Not that it DOESN'T. Because it does. Ive been around enough to know BS from the real deal. This is real. It also works wonders on my Tablet running CM10 with maybe 25 apps installed. Go figure huh?

My 2 cents. I'm running seeder 2 on my dinc 4.2.1 cm10.1 tiny, incredikernel with about 100 apps. Boot up is about the same. Switching screens is maybe a second faster/snappier. Feels 5% better but nothing to write home about. Maybe it works better with other phone hardware and setups.

Im on Sprint. My kernel is ktoons 747 1-09-13 release for TW. Dont flash it. It will soft brick your Cricket S3s as it is for 4.1.1 JB.
