I have not installed 4.4.2 yet. Is anyone losing root ability?

I'm still confused on the SD card changes that kitkat was bringing with it. I've read several articles on it and I'm still confused. I don't want to try Knox 2.0 because I tried 1.0 when it first came out and it messed my phone up so I had to do a complete restore. What's with the signing into the gallery stuff?
Maybe Cricket will offer us a free upgrade to the s4 after all!

I'm at work right now but I will download in about an hour

Update: If you lose root after 4.4 you can use the same method we used in 4.3 (chainfires cf auto root) then use the latest custom recovery of your choice. I suggest Phil's recovery.

basically apps will not be able to write into folders not "owned" by the app. so if you use your camera to take pictures, then use another app to modify it, the new picture will be in a new folder.
