    why root?

Ok I have the s3 and I have been reading lately how cyanogen mod can give me jellybean capabilities. But is this true? Are there any safe rooting methods? And if so, what else can I do with my phone? Im just wanting to know my options and assess the whole idea before I try anything.

    Re: why root?

When apps say for rooted phones it is usually customization or for performance which will modify system settings cm is very customizable visual and performance wise remember though always back up.

    Re: why root?

As far as we know cm10.1 is very fluid...everything you need works...not very familiar with liquid ROM but with jelly bean the processors work faster and makes your apps run a lot smoother...hence smooth as butter...

    Re: why root?

Apps it's all depending on what you use... No rom is perfect.... There will always be bugs somewhere... As for my experience I haven't had any issues as of yet... I don't use blutooth... I just do normal everyday things... Plus I play games on here like wild blood and for me it plays smoother on jellybean op system than ics... Texting and mms I have no issues... Good luck with deciding... I like to root because you can do back ups with titanium backup... Un install or freeze apps that are using your resources... Stuff like that...
