NJ is a triband market. I do not think the iphones are ready for that frequency.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?

Brownsville, Tx is in a triband market and the iPhone 5 is available. I have one and works perfectly fine.

It is not that the phone won't work there; it will. Same way a dual band flashed device with appropriate prl does. However, since iphone is not Triband marked by Cricket, it is not yet available in triband markets.

Flashing iphones is something that got many dealers in trouble. So, I would not recommend a flashed one. However, pretty sure you can order an original one from a different state and use it in NJ.

I triband market is a market where it is 100% AWS. AWS is a frequency Cricket is using in new market buildouts. If you are using a flashed phone in an AWS market, you will be subject to Cricket's 50/50 rule regardless of a flashed iPuke or any other model....

just want to remind everyone: cricket will NOT activate flashed iphones in ANY area. The cricket iphone 5s and 5c have AWS "tri-band" support. those two phones can be activated in the tri-band areas. no other cricket iphones will work if your account is in a tri-band area. please see this post i've replied to for you
