On June 18, 2013 Cricket instituted the new locking policy which locks out ALL international SIM cards. You have to have 6 consecutive months of service with Cricket BEFORE they will give you the code to unlock the device for use overseas.

This was done so Cricket gets credit from Crapple and reduce fraudulent purchases. Since this lock policy has been in place, my iPhone sales have dropped because of the 6 months clause!

I bought my iphone 5 from cricket back in 2012. Since then i have been using the gsm slot without any problem. I reset my phone last week now it requires activation. I am currently out of the US and can not activate it. I understand that cricket changed its policy in the middle of 2013 but i bought the phone with old policy. I feel like i am deceived. This is not just. I did not do any unlawful thing when i bought my phone. Please help.

U can try use r-sim or similar card, that supported your iOS version. It can make possible iPhone operate in GSM mode.
