Unless Cricket changes their 4G bands to match those of the iPhone 5. Cause, we all know, Crapple will not change the iPhone for us....

When Will Iphone 5 Have 4G??

From what I've read. iPhone 5 supports crickets lte spectrum. It'd be up to apple-cricket agreement for lte to actually work. Don't know if that's 100% true but sounds possible.

According to the official training material provided to Cricket Employees, the iPuke 5 does not support Cricket's version of LTE. Cricket uses the 1700 MHz band for its LTE which is not supported by iPuke 5. I have included a side by side comparison of an actual LTE device on the Cricket network and the iPuke 5 so you better understand what the device actually supports.

I think it is going to cost Cricket money in the long term by continuing to build out "special" spectrum markets. The iPuke is only offered in non-AWS markets so only about half of the Cricket network supports the iPuke. Then they go and ink a deal with Clearwire to offer LTE in some areas, again, a special band that the iPuke does not support. I can't stand the iPuke! I think it is 2 to 3 years behind Android. However, from a business perspective, why offer a phone your whole network can't support? That is too limiting!

They are trying to attract a buyer I think. Wether it's for spectrum or take over its business. I think they're trying to make themselves look like a legit carrier with a healthy device lineup.

exactly. i get apple fanboys all the time! i did hear apple is going to support our aws bands in the near future with iphone5. And our device line-up is looking nice. it's not at&t or verizon but it's still better than trac or virgin.
