    3. Then download the app "IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk" from that site/post as well and copy it to your phone to the root of your sd card
    4. Now open Settings>scroll down to security and check unknown settings
    5. Then go to developer options in settings and check usb debugging
    6. Now on a file explorer on the root of your sd card install "IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk"
    7. Once the app is installed open it and then open the power options (hold the power button for 3 seconds) and click power off & restart
    8. Once phone turns back on (should be running slow) connect your phone to your computer through USB (charging only).
    9. Open the command prompt and enter the command "cd C:\o4xr" then typr "root" (or whatever is the root of your windows system) (no parentheses)

DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT follow the unbricking instructions. Or you will be stuck in the predicament I am in.
Basically I have a nice paperweight. My phone now thinks it is a MS-770 and that I have MetroPCS as my carrier.

There are no recovery roms, firmwares in .CAB or .KDZ or in any format for this phone.

MEANING!!!!!!!!! If you brick your phone, you are screwed, CRICKET WILL NOT EXCHANGE YOUR PHONE

    Thanks for posting Gman.

    Thanks to sammyz as well.

I didn't see the original unbricking link, and I should have removed it and known that some Cricket Users would try to flash device specific files to their model.

I didn't make the cricket guide until after that guy bricked his phone. He got me the correct link to cricket firmware so I thank him.

Good deal. This is the second time that I know of Cricket guys getting files for restoring a device. There is hope .

I've been wondering that too, not sure. But the main problem is that metro is no longer taking flashed phones, so you would have to get it working on metropcs yourself. Not sure about Cricket's policies and flashed phones.

I was in Los Angeles and had full LTE coverage until 2 weeks ago and moved to Houston Tx. No 4g at all no data really. I can call and text. I just heard about Cricket and the LG Regard has the exact same specs. And they have excellent coverage in this area. Im wondering if its just a matter of unlocking it from metro and adding the esn to cricket

That's weird considering the fact that Metro had 3G starting from around Dallas, TX (I believe).

Yep its true. I looked at the coverage map and Houston does not get 4g. I know my phone does not pick up 3g either

does anyone think that you can use the "unbrick method" to flash the software over a metropcs version of this phone to convert it to cricket? I've had success with using ODIN and flashing a Sprint SW on a Virgin Mobile Samsung phone.
