The 3gb partition is hidden and encrypted. Ive spent about 8 hrs working on it using multiple partitioning and disk utilities. Only testdrive was able to determine that something was fishy. I believe even if you can locate it (which would probably be done with a terminal based program), you would probably not b able to touch it...just take a peek. I finally gave up and just bought an 8gig for 8 bucks. On one last there are two possible solutions I havent tried. You can probably alter the geometric parameters in testdrive if you know the Cylinder head and sector values of the card (assuming the CHS detected were incorrect) or you could flash the firmware although I believe u need specific equipment for this.

I'd actually like to know this myself, I tried formatting with SDFormatter, does nothing, tried searching it with EASEUS, but the partition doesn't even show up at all, I'm basically stumped

Anyone have any info in moving the partition to another sdcard like a 16gb class 10?

Anyway back to the topic on hand google a program called "HP USB disk storage format tool".
If it can locate the card than it will erase everything including the hidden partition but takes forever.
I had a similar case in the past with a similar setup and this did the job.

hmm must be something like a fs windows natively can't detect alright thanks for testing it. Well if I find anything in my searches I'll pass it on, my main goal though isn't in erasing it .

this is about all i could ever find on the topic. the secure flash memory from sandisk is a tough cookie. it's meant for government grade encryption, combination hardware/software, tampering will trigger the hidden partition to kill itself with fire.

Try formatting it in a printer that supports SD cards.

Hi, I was wondering if there was any way to take my 16g SD card and making it so it works as a "Muve Music SD Card"

    Is this possible?
