Question Can i erase the flash on my Evo?

I went to the cricket store today to get the internet and mms flashed on my evo, and they saw that i had a custom rom. they said if i erase the data and the norm you do when you install a new rom, that the flash they did will be erased and that they will be notified on their computers. is this some sort of scare, or will it actually happen? im a noob.

You might lose MMS and if you're on the 45 plan you will have to reconfigure the proxy settings. Once the numbers are programmed in there, the majority of the programming is good.

I've heard of some lousy flashers programming the SPC with hex codes and stuff to prevent you from being able to go to anyone else. That would suck if your number changed or if you wanted a new PRL.
