Cricket =/= too broke to get the latest and greatest phone

I don't know who/what/how/why the idea that just because you are on Cricket that means you dont have cash to spend on a good phone. I switched to Cricket because the rate plans are better on my monthly budget, but I can easily drop the cash needed to buy any phone on the market from any carrier outright. I don't mind spending $500 on the new RAZR from verizon and then flashing it over to Cricket so that i spend $55 a month instead of $120.

Sorry, article from kansascitystar or whatever kinda rubbed me wrong

I am with you on that. I deal with a lot of rich customers who just like the idea of a non contract carrier.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?

As a cricket store owner, Most cricket customers live from check to check. You can tell by how many bridge payments are out there. Now saying that with nicer phones cricket is stepping it up. You are the few among the mass so don't let the article rube you the wrong way. again as a store owner I wish there were more like you.

i could get a contract with a postpaid plan I can afford it but i rather spend that money on something else. The Huawei mercury was a step up from my Sprint phone and the everything has been great so far. i love my Huawei Mercury but with all the money I am saving when the huawei P1 comes out for cricket i wont feel bad paying 240 for a new phone in a year

It is a partial payment you make. You pay $17 per line to get a 1 week extension on the bill. If lets say you owe $60 on the 1st. Pay $17 on the first and then the remaining $43 on the 8th.
