    How to flash HTC Evo 4g to cricket?? I just need talk and text

    Hi:
    I have an HTC Evo 4g, I want to flash it to cricket but I have no idea.
    Its running Android 2.3.3
    Baseband Version 2.15

    I know it cant be rooted, I just want to flash it so I can use it to call and text. I have been looking everywhere and I have no idea what to do.

    hmm.. there's a tutorial on this in the evo section on this forum...... did you try that?

    Yes, but the tutorial there says it has to be rooted.

    Try *228 or *22804 its for vz phones but somestimes it works for sprint if not try manualy dial ##000000# and tipe in your mdn and min and hit exit an see if it works

    true. but i figured that was only to get the net to work.. you could always use the offical RUU and roll back to 2.2 then root and roll back to 2.3.3 and then flash..

    Only follow the QPST section of the tutorial.

    1. Obtain SPC / MSL code (the hard part without root,
      try this


      )
    2. Dial ##3424# and install the DIAG drivers
    3. Use QPST to write PRL, MDN, and MIN

    Ok I got the msl code, now I downloaded QPST but there are a lot of different programs in the QPST which one do I use?

    Follow the EVO tutorial.

    1. Open QPST Configuration
    2. Add the COM port your device is connected to
    3. Use "Service Programming" to program your device
