Just bought Optimus S need to know some things

Okay, I have an Ascend 2, which I thought was going out, because it wouldnt charge, so I read up, and it looked like Ascend 1 had a problem with the usb ports, and the Ascend 2, being kind of cheap feeling, and having given me a major problem already, I assumed was on its out...after 3 months.

So, I picked up a Sprint Optimus for cheap. Plug it in to my wall adapator...it doesnt charge. Plug in adaptor that came with the LG, the LG now works....then the Ascend works.

Just wasted 40 on a phone I dont need, but just in-hand I can tell its a better phone, and Id prefer to use it. But I need to know is this a phone that can have everything working 100% as the Ascend already does?

I've only had flashed phones until getting the Ascend 2, and while those phone were better than anything Cricket had at the time, not everything worked. I was especially mad after spending 300 on a Mogul years ago, and being stuck with no MMS, and dial-up.

    Worth flashing and switching over?

You can get everything working but the internet connection is extremely slow.

I have a tutorial up on this site.

Even if you flash it with 3G, it's slow? Just wondering. I think I flashed one a while back, but I didn't try it out.

Yes, it's slow.. Not horribly but noticeably when compared with authentic cricket phones or something like a flashed evo.

Then I wont be doing it.

Years back, I bought a Mogul, and was stuck with dial-up, no way. Well thanks, saved me time.
