Note 4 on the new cricket

Quick question regarding the note 4..

Would it be possible to buy the note 4 through AT&T without having to unlock it, take it to a cricket store and have them add it as my new phone?

    Thank you.

Some say that it is as easy as taking your SIM card out of your old phone and putting it into your new phone with the new GSM system.

I am about to find out because i am also interested in the GN4 but am concerned about the OS updates to Android 5 and more. Will phones that are not sold by Cricket get updates? I don't want to root the phone to get updates.

Really though I wanted the rumored HTC One (M9) Plus with the front facing stereo speakers and FM radio to listen to and/or record events that broadcast their audio over FM for the hearing impaired.

As far as the major updates are concerned, you won't get them from Cricket. So do as WiseOldMan mentioned in another thread. Borrow a friend's AT&T SIM, plug it into your phone and get the update, over WIFI, of course, and put your SIM back in and you're good to go.
