    is it safe to root/install ics on my flashed to cricket phone

    hello im new to the addicting world of smartphones i just upgraded from a zte score to a sprint google nexus s 4g it is currently fully flashed to cricket i was wondering if its safe to root it and get ics on the phone or if that might undo the flash also i was wondering if there was anything i might want to save/write down in the phone that might be useful if i do lose the flash i am willing to reflash the phone if need be but dont want to mess my phone up in a way i cant fix please help and sorry if this post is awfull im new to the whole forum/internet thing

    I don't think it's safe for you to mess wit your phone yet.. Learn some more first

    i rooted my zte just fine... have homebrewed psp and wii... i get all my info from google i just figured i could cut the fat by going right to the pros i have some computer experience so i am comfortable i just need the right info before i proceed i dropped a weeks pay on the phone and have heard of major fails resulting in a paper weight for a phone so please help if you can

    I just don't think it's a good idea to go into things by using your current phone.

    i still have the rooted zte score as a backup incase it bricks the nexus

    I still have the Aztec score I rooted if I goof to big to fix so let me know what I got to do I have drivers cdma ws 2.7 and qpst 2.7 366 I also have one click root

    It will clear out your data profile, so using apn backup to restore your mms

    Not 100% true. I have put new roms on a flashed phone and killed the cricket flash.
    Most recent example was a Droid X with a Vortex rom. Even flashing a new theme for the rom killed the flash.

    Most likely it will not disturb the flash, but it could. There is nothing a 100% with flashed phones.

    Werid, I've flashed dozens and dozens of roms on many different devices. Never had the nam settings or prl revert back.

    Always good to do a nandroid
