Stoked! 4G with true unlimited on my EVO! Hitting speeds of 5000kps+ DL

I just signed up today with Clear to make use of my 4G. $45/month unlimited. I'm still using the data only plan to make calls over 4G. With 4G it's extremely clear and sounds great.

Here's a screenshot of some speedtests. I can't edit the size. Maybe a mod can.

    That is definitely interesting...

How is the latency during phone calls?

I have only completed 1 test call, but it was about 15 minutes and the other end said that I was perfectly clear with "zero" lags or drops in sound. It was the same as calling over wifi. I was able to carry on a conversation same as a normal call.

On my 3G running at 500+kbps, I would have some lags/drops here and there.

I wouldn't like that. It's too close to what I pay for Cricket. The 4G would be nice, but does it allow you to roam on Sprint for 3G? What about Verizon? I wouldn't want to need to rely on 3G for VoIP when traveling. It's good if you stay in your home area though!

ynI don't travel much, but I will continue using the Cricket PayGo $0.25/day for 3G data as needed. There's a small area on my way home from work where I don't have 4G for about 10 minutes. Once I'm home, I have wifi.

Still working on the best solution, but considering I spend about 50 hours/week in a 4G area, it's worth it to me. Plus, for now, there are no caps with Clear and all carriers are moving to data caps.

Wonder if I could share my wife's Cricket 3G plan as backup when I need 3G. Just use her log in info on QPST. She is on the Android $55 plan and uses a very small amount of data.

Here's some speed tests from the drive home. Wow!

I hit some strong spots on the way home today on 4G. Also, took a couple wifi tests at home just to compare:

Mods, please enlarge the picture. I can't get the little pencil to appear to enlarge it. thanks
