There may be a slight voltage difference between the versions, and the fota app ,might disable itself, since it's the app for converting the radio inside to cdma. The block file, that holds the keys, may be corrupted, but you would still ,have to get the ICS rom past the bootloader, which is s-on(locked). The recovery for this phone, since the bootloader's locked, will not let anything install, but the stock update.zip file, especially without the keys. But ,if you know what you're doing, and can unlock the bootloader,(nobody has), you still have to face the fact, that alcatel messed up, the usb id's, that are on their site, are all wrong for this cell, you can't even run the onetouchmanager. I got around this, by installing the sdk manager, on ubuntu, finding the right id's, then going back to windows, (sdk already installed), going into the extras folder, opening the usb folder, then changing the files to the right id's. Sounds like a lot but alcatel's no help, and deny they made a mistake, radioshack, forget it. There are updates, but you're still on gingerbread with those. Remember, any fail with trying to unlock the bootloader, can easily make it a brick, and you still need a recovery, that can install a different rom(clockworkmod), but it has to be built, just for this phone, the source files are in github, and sourceforge web sites.

I'm trying to get a developer, that is on xda developers, interested in our phone. He came out with a app that, if there's no recovery, will try to find one. I sent some details to his site, hoping for the best.
