HTC ONE SV Not Connecting to Mobile Network...

So I just activated an HTC One SV for my dad with Cricket. He ported his number over from Sprint and the number has been fully ported, it can make calls and send/receive sms text messages. However the 3G notification on top is not showing, and the mobile network says turning on...then disconnected. I work at Cricket and according to my Co-workers this phone has issues connecting to mobile data with ported numbers. I have called and spoke with customer service numerous times. We have tried everything, from reseting the phone, etc. and Nothing! We have dialed *228 more than 100 times and the phone say programming Unsuccessful every time. Customer Service says I will need to replace the 4G LTE SIM card bc nothing else has worked. The SIM Card was brand new so I don't understand what is going on. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know

There is a software update that patches the software for data service. If you work for Cricket, Coach has the proper steps and bulletins to remedy this situation. Go to settings > About > Software Updates. Download and install the update. Once installed, *228 the phone and all should be well. If that doesn't work, then you will need a new SIM card.

Been fixing, flashing, and activating Cricket phones since 2004.
